The controlled outcome of automatic writing
In Volume 1 of Le Val Classics, Lewis teaches two methods to achieve full control over a participant’s “automatic writing”.
The performer instructs the participant to hold a pen in their non-dominant hand and a small stack of business cards in the other. With the items held behind their back or under the table, the participant begins to move the pen across the top card in a random manner.
