Shuffle As I Shuffle is a compelling card magic routine that combines two decks of cards. The magician shuffles a blue deck normally, has a spectator pick and lose a card, and then shuffles a red deck with cards facing both up and down. The decks are switched, and without any moves, the blue deck is now shuffled face-up into face-down, and the red deck is all facing the same way except for one card—the spectator’s chosen card. This routine is strong, direct, and highly commercial, using a regular deck of cards and ensuring a memorable effect for any audience.
The Cannibal Cards by Roy Walton is a landmark to any working magician out there. Alan took the premise and put it on steroids. The spectator selects a “victim” and you introduce your “cannibal”. Under the shadow of darkness the victim gets devoured and the cannibal can be inspected. You then proceed to tear open a slit only to give a sneak peek of their selection lying inside the belly of the beast. You then proceed to heal the tear and make the cannibal spit out the selection unscathed.
