A Game of Life & Death is a playfully macabre piece of close-up magic in which someone from the audience is invited to play a game of cards with the Grim Reaper. It’s like a little one-act play, a refreshingly different card routine that engages the audience in a fun and suspenseful narrative.

Say the above during your performance, or perhaps the following: “Spirits do not show themselves where there is much light.” You could illuminate the scene with candles, or even the light emitted by cell phone screens, creating even more mystery.
