Andrew Frost – Table False Cut
Don’t underestimate this lovely, simple cut by its quick trailer. It’ looks EXACTLY like what it’s supposed to. You cut the cards to table, the top half onto the bottom half. Actually, the simple sleight is accomplished through a marvelous visual illusion and can be mastered within minutes. Andy Frost breaks the sleight down second by second so you can add this cut to your repertoire.
Rafael Benatar – Elegant Card Magic
Rafael Benatar is a Venezuelan working professional magician who lives in Spain and is one of the most active members of the world-renowned Escuela Mágica de Madrid. His classy and elegant magic is explained with such clarity and attention to detail that these DVDs are guaranteed to raise your magic to a new level.
Routines performed and explained:
Hot Transposition: Two cards continually change places under seemingly impossible conditions.
Karate: Using a karate chop a six is split into two threes and a ten into two fives.
Photomat: A repeat signed card to pocket routine with a finale where the signature is visually removed.
A Card And A Number: A three-phase routine where a selected card appears at a position in the deck named by a spectator.
Paul Wilson – Consistent Control
The Consistent Control allows you to retain complete control over one to several cards after the deck is riffle shuffled and cut.
Intuition by Luke Dancy
Luke Dancy seamlessly melds together the classic ‘pick a card’ plot with a four ace production, demonstrating the beauty of magic in its simplicity.
A spectator chooses a card from a spread in an attempt to pull out an Ace. Failing to do so, their chosen card is tabled while the performer tries to locate an ace. The performer’s selection is turned over — it’s the exact same card as chosen by the spectator.
Attention is now brought back to the tabled card, which has incredibly now become three cards. The cards are flipped end on end with the performer’s card to reveal – they’re the three aces… the fourth ace? Now held by the performer.
Will Tsai – Alchemist
This is one of the best self-bending metal effects we have ever seen. Will Tsai’s effects always seem to ask the question, ‘what would it look like if I could do this for real?’ and when you see the way that this effect allows you to warp metal so beautifully, you’ll appreciate why his philosophy is so good.
If we truly had the power to bend metal, why stop at just one bend?
Blossom will suck the wind out of your spectator as your psychokinetic ability contorts and flares the neck and every single tine of a simple dinner fork. The moment where they realized that the power of your mind is reconstructing the physical properties of metal is one that will live with them forever.
