In this lesson, you’ll learn a “Wild Card”-style routine which starts out funny and ends up fantastic. When a selected card is found to be different from a packet of predictions, the perplexed performer tries to change it to match them. Instead, much to his (and everyone’s) surprise, the packet changes card-by-card until they all match the selection! It’s so good, everyone will swear they’ve seen the front and back of each card before and after all the changes. And Harlan’s new, slightly-modified version makes this killer routine more practical than ever, putting it well within the reach of any magician comfortable with basic card handling.

The ambitious card routine is a miracle of magic, tried and tested and proven.

The routine uses a myriad of moves to create an end result of a [signed] card repeatedly placed into the center of the pack and then rising to the top, apparently unstoppable.

The basic plot allows much creativity on the part of the magician: depending on the sleights and knowledge you have you can make the card suddenly disappear and reappear on the top of the deck, fly from the spectators hands, appear in your shoe, tear it, bend it, break it —– and still it rises to the occasion.

A BBM EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOAD – A prediction envelope is placed down on the table, and then a deck of cards is introduced and shown.  The faces are normal, but the backs of the cards each have a word written on, which you explain have all been words used to describe the trick.  There’s words like ‘Amazing’ ‘Confounding’ ‘Fantastic’ etc

One card is shown, signed, torn and restored… in the most impossible way.

There are a million and one ‘Torn and Restored’ card effects out there, but not many of them, if any, start with one card and end with an inspectable, signed impossible object that you give to your spectator.

TNT, or Torn ‘n’ Transformed is Luke’s creative answer to one of magic’s most impressive plots – Tearing & restoring a card.

For those that don’t know Luke as a creator, we’ve had our eye on him for many years. He didn’t know it back then, but we knew he had the potential for greatness. (Side-note: you may have seen his debut Ellusionist release PORTAL)

His gimmicks are inventive, flawless and can often be adapted to many other things.
