A surprising effect whereby a deck that’s been handled by the spectator becomes completely blank. A blank card is placed in the spectators hand and they name any card. Not only does this card become their named card but also the entire deck visually re-prints itself.
An effect that has also the characteristics of the puzzle.
With a completely normal, borrowed deck of cards.
The conditions for finding the chosen card appear totally impossible for the spectator.

“Catching Cold” is The Common Magician’s solution to the card catching plot.
A selection is made and shuffled into the deck. The performer dribbles the cards and proceeds to catch the selected card from the dribble. The effect can be performed surrounded and the moment of catching the card appears to be completely fair.

One of my favourite plots in all of card magic is Card to impossible location. Here I teach one of my very favourites. The techniques used here can be applied to other aspects of your card magic such as the ‘polarity principle’. For rouging spray recommendations- Rust-oleum crystal clear matt spray. Another I find useful is – Testors dull coat spray lacquer. I recommend buying from well established magic shops such as Vanishing Inc. or Propdog magic shop.
The ‘Ace Assembly’ is a classic trick, where the four Aces are dealtout in a line, and three odd cards dropped on top of each one. Oneat a time, the Aces vanish cleanly from their packets, allassembling in the last packet, that a spectator has had their handon top of since the beginning of the trick!
